Cold Shoulder

The off the shoulder trend has by far been my favorite of 2016. My spring and summer wardrobe was filled with shoulder bearing tops and dresses so I, of course, needed to translate that into fall. I have a couple off the shoulder tops from last season but when I saw this gorgeous velvet version from Free People, I needed to have it.

This perfect for every occasion top can be paired with just about everything. I decided to pair it with light washed jeans also from Free People and black over the knee boots from ASOS, topping the outfit off with a big floppy hat I bought at Urban (similar) a few years ago. My favorite thing about this top is that it’s versatile enough to be worn for both a Sunday brunch and a Saturday night out.IMG_6271IMG_6268IMG_6267IMG_6264
It’s already the first week of November and though I love not having to wear a thick coat, I’d much prefer it. The weather in NJ has been a bit strange; one day it’s freezing, the next it’s 80 degrees! I’m also going to Boston this weekend coming up for a girls’ weekend, so I’ll be able to bring  my new parka I’ve been dying to wear. Boston is one of my favorite cities so I’m excited to explore it some more this time around!
