Midi: The New Length

This May marked 3 years since I graduated from college. Time has flown, I have definitely matured (in some ways) and my style has absolutely evolved. From short body-con to high waisted midi skirts, I have learned that showing less is more and you don’t need to show tons of skin in order to look sexy. Midi skirts/dresses make you look flirty yet sophisticated and also the length makes this favorite appropriate for all occasions. Whether it be a wedding, brunch, work, a date, there will be a silhouette that always works.

I wore this UO army green midi skirt to my best friend’s 25th birthday brunch last week, paired it with Free People nude heels and a Zara white crop top and VOILA, a perfect brunch outfit. Side note: gotta love heels with an ankle strap!IMG_3657

Here I kept everything very simple by wearing this amazing blush midi dress (Asos) to a wedding and paired it with my go-to nude FP ankle strap pumps. My best friend, Laura, decided to spice up her black strapless body-con midi dress (Nordstrom) by wearing tan Dolce Vita wedges and a statement necklace. She topped her look off with a bold red lip, perfect for this awesome LBD.IMG_3613

This is by far my favorite dress. I wore this gorgeous Novella Royale body-con midi dress to my 24th birthday brunch last August, paired it with Jessica Simpson sandals (which I’ve had since maybe high school) and my Spell bag. FYI – I almost always look surprised in pictures to please excuse my shocked face below.

As always, I look for inspiration in bloggers and celebrities. Here are some of my favorites.
