I live for a good bargain so when I saw this cowl necked sweater dress at a sample sale in the city, I absolutely needed to have it! My good friend works at a private label cashmere company so she immediately texted me telling me about this amazing sale going on.
There were a ton of cashmere sweaters and scarves, so I admit I went a little nuts. This dress was under $20, how could I say no to a $20 cashmere sweater?!? I’ve been looking high and low for the perfect sweater dress and I think I found the one!
Aside from this dress being super cheap, the cowl neck and the exposed zipper really got me. I paired it with black sheer polka dot tights from Duane Reade (the Walgreens of NYC) and my favorite black over the knee boots to give this an edgier look. Drug stores are my go to for cute tights, they’re always under $10. Because they’re so cheap, I never feel guilty about throwing them away after they run.
These boots are one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Whether it be to dress up jeans or a casual dress, over the knee boots add that extra something you need to top off an outfit. You can find them at Free People in assorted colors and in suede.
